From Emma Lee Lyon recipe book
1 head Iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 green pepper, diced
1 cup chopped celery (Emma did not use celery)
1 large onion, chopped
16 oz peas, drained
2 cups miracle whip salad dressing
2 T brown sugar
1/2 cup shredded cheese
1/2 cup crispy bacon bits
Prepare salad in a large bowl add ingredients one layer
at a time as given. Do NOT toss. Cover & refrigerate 8 hours
or overnight. Will keep for 2-3 days. Makes 8 generous servings
